EHS PTSA March 2021 Meeting Minutes

 

Date: Tuesday, March 9, 2021

Location: Google Meet Call/5:00pm

  • Call to Order and Introductions at 5:03 - Carole
  • Principal’s Report- Brekke
    • Brekke nominated us for organization of the year.
    • Brekke and possibly other staff will attend the Echo Mountain event.
    • Prom and Graduation are happening. Details to follow
    • Movie night at the HS is a go.
    • The 100% remote learning will continue next year through a central location.
    • EHS Budget is balanced through next year
    • The school will cover whatever portion of the senior yard signs that PTA cannot cover
    • Carly will assist with handing out yard signs.
  • Financial Report– Crystal
    • Beginning Balance: $16,114.45
    • Deposits: $386.59
    • Expenses: $490.00
    • Ending Balance $16,011.04
    • Need to move $300 from the legacy wall to Teacher Appreciation
    • SoS budget is $5645.
  • Old Business
    • By-Law Review/Update – Carole
      • Will have new bylaws for next meeting. Vote will occur at May meeting.
      • Question as to whether we should make Membership an elected position. Will put in bylaws and discuss at next meeting.
    • Committee Reports
      • Senior Committee/Luncheon -Crystal, Madeline, Amy, Betsy, Carole
        • Legacy Boards – Carly will help hand out
        • SOS – Next event is April movie night. Seniors will vote on movie
        • Yard Signs – Being orered
        • Parade
        • Luncheon – Tuesday, May 18th. Discussion as to how food will be provided.  Carole will ask school regarding rules for food.
      • Membership - Christina & Madeline
        • Spring membership drive
      • Foundation - Theresa
    • New Business
      • Need to establish Audit committee. Karen Messler volunteered for committee.  Carole said that her husband would volunteer.  Carole will ask Cindy Mauldin to serve again.
      • Need to establish Membership Committee – Christine Blitz has volunteered to serve. Need two other volunteers.  Need new VP, new Membership Chair, maybe new Secretary and maybe new Teacher Appreciation Chair.  Carole will find out what positions we need volunteers for.
